I graduated X-ray school in 1992 and did local temp agency work in major hospitals for the next school semester while I returned to pursue studies in Health Services Management. My first full time job as a Rad Tech was in Manhattan in 1993 at the height of the AIDS crisis.  My second job was running a clinic X-ray department where I gained experience working with QA, regulations, reports, supply, etc.  I worked in X-ray until 1996 when I moved to Mexico to study.  Upon my return I entered the computer field and specialized in Unix and Microsoft networking and administration.  For a time I worked as a PACS Administrator for Agfa working with digital radiography computer systems.  During the post 9/11 decline in the Information Technology field I was downsized out of my tech support job in the NY financial industry.  I have since returned to X-ray with the maturity and patience of being older and wiser.   Since February 2003 I have worked exclusively as a Temp, PRN tech or Traveler.  I am a very ethical technologist and take pride in giving the best level of patient care available, and in the safest manner with regards to radiation dose to the patient and the administration of contrast media.
